NO! I screamed at the car windshield, though I could barely catch my breath.
Not another tragedy, but the radio blared out death!
This world has gone to hell, I thought and shook my head and sighed.
Can we even stop this evil? Then my rosary caught my eye.
Around the mirror hanging there, swinging to and fro,
As if to say I’m waiting, and the answer’s here you know.
Our Lady said to pray it, and to pray it every day,
For peace to reign throughout the world, her rosary we must pray!
So I pulled into a parking lot; from the mirror grabbed my beads.
I bowed my head and kissed the cross as I began the Creed.
