WHERE TWO HEARTS BEAT AS ONE

The very moment she said “Yes”,

Redemption had begun.

The prophecies of old fulfilled,

Where two hearts beat as one.

The Spirit overshadowed her,

Because she had believed.

As heaven met with earth that day,

The God-man was conceived

God’s son, her son, became a man,

Pure Rose of Sharon’s bud.

So soon to bloom upon the cross,

He’d shed His flesh and blood .

In Bethlehem, a stable blessed

With angels sheer delight,

Where first she held him to her heart

That cold and starry night.

The wedding feast in Cana claimed,

A miracle, a sign.

He would not deny His mother,

As water turned to wine.

On the Via Dolorosa,

Then up to Calvary’s hill,

They walked on, two hearts united,

So bent to do God’s will.

His words that “It is finished”,

Made the sacrifice complete.

She saw his spirit leave him and

His heart no longer beat.

They placed her son into her arms,

And pain tore her apart.

Remembered words from Simeon;

The sword then pierced her heart.

But came the dawn of Easter morn,

Veiled meeting with her son.

The prophesies of old fulfilled

Where two hearts beat as one.
